The primary objective of this graduate course is to provide you with professional development aimed at enhancing your research profile and, simultaneously, our institution’s research standing. The secondary objective is to assist you with drafting and revising winning technical/research papers, reports, and proposals, with emphasis on incorporating graphical, numerical, and other supportive materials in a persuasive manner. Differences between the business plan and other types of proposals (e.g., graduate) will be discussed, alongside similarities and differences between proposals and reports.

As specified in the course catalog, this course will focus on four categories of writing that are frequently required in business settings, namely: memos/e-mail messages, letters, reports, and proposals. In addition, you will be introduced to valuable verbal and non-verbal corporate communication strategies. Multimedia must be utilized for all group presentations. You are encouraged to develop visually appealing documents for your close-out individual pitches, as well.
