Once you've built a quiz, you can import it into other courses using the following steps:

Open Your Canvas Course

Open the Canvas Course that you would like to import into (the course that does not yet have the desired content in it).

Open the SETTINGS link in the course navigation menu.

Import Course Content

On the right-hand side of the screen, click the "Import Course Content" button.

Select Content

In the dropdown menu, select Copy a Canvas Course type.

Choose Canvas Course

From the dropdown menu, choose the Canvas course that has the desired content in it. Alternatively, you can enter the name of the course in the search field [1].

Select the "Select Specific Content" option [2].

Click the "Import" Button [3].

Select Content

Click the new "Select Content" button that becomes available.

You can select the desired content by clicking the arrow to the left of the content type.

This will open up a dropdown menu listing the various titles of the quizzes, pages, modules etc that are in the course [1]. Select the content you'd like to copy by clicking the boxes to the left of the content titles [2]. Click the "Select" button [3] when you are ready.

Wait

A progress bar will appear. Wait until the process is complete. You will know your import is done when you see a green "Completed" icon in the status window:

Find, Edit, and Publish

If you imported a quiz, you should navigate to the Quizzes menu area to see your quizzes.

If you imported question banks, you will need to pull the questions into specific quizzes (click here for more information).

If you imported a page, you will need to navigate to the Pages index to see your newly imported content.

If you imported a module, you will need to navigate to the Modules index to see your newly imported content.

If you imported an assignment, you will need to navigate to the Assignments index to see your newly imported content.

Newly imported content comes over unpublished by default. Before you publish, make sure your new content is in the form you'd like it (for example: you may need to adjust due dates, or edit the title).

Don't forget to publish the new content!
