Using the Morgan Zoom Portal

If you are having issues using Zoom in Canvas, or if you would like to use Zoom without it being linked to a Canvas course, you can use the Morgan Zoom portal to schedule and conduct your meetings.

Scheduling a Meeting from the Morgan Zoom Portal


Navigate to morganstate.zoom.us Links to an external site.   The screen will look like this:

Click the Sign In button. You will be prompted to enter your Morgan State login credentials.

Once logged in, click on the "Meetings" link on the left. Then select the "Schedule a Meeting" button on the right.

Enter the relevant meeting details and hit the "Save" button. Once you've saved the meeting, you will be taken to a screen where  you can copy the meeting invitation details to send to participants. Select the "Copy Invitation" link option.

Select "Copy Invitation" again.

Send the copied meeting invitation to participants via email, via Canvas inbox message, or via an announcement in your Canvas classes (or all three). 

 

 

Starting a Meeting from the Morgan Zoom Portal

Navigate to morganstate.zoom.us Links to an external site.  and log in with your Morgan credentials.

Once logged in, click on the "Meetings" link on the left, then select the "Upcoming" Link.

Locate your meeting and hover over the meeting name, you will see the "Start" button appear. Click to start your meeting.
